Portraits

From the beginning, what was most fun about the cardboard camera was to take portraits, a little bit like leaving adult life and start to play with friends and visitors:
- Can I try to catch you in this cardboard box, do you dare?

If I take the picture at home, I develop the negative immediately, so that everyone can take part in the peculiar mystery of photography. Exposure is about five seconds, so the person portrayed must relax and sit still, and it is hard to maintain a fixed expression. So this primitive camera often gives a fairly good impression of the person in front of the box.
