This player stands in the Gramophone Shop in Haarlem in the Netherlands. It is a simple player, intended to play cylinders to customers before making the deal. There is not much I know about it, only what I can see in this photo: the pickup shell is an SME, the spring loaded tonearm I'm sure I have seen somewhere in the late '60s, probably from a Philips turntable, the triangular mark on the black motor box seems familiar, but I can't remember from where. For the rest, I will have to rely on my well informed reades to provide me with the details: if you can tell me anything more about this player, please write! Christer Hamp, 2006 |
