As a piece of modern phonograph history I here present a picture of one player from Henri Chamoux's first production run of the Archeophone, the Series I. It differs from the Series II in several respects: The lift mechanism for the arm is motorised, and so there are more switches on the front of the player, the flywheel here has incorporated the holes used for the tachymeter, and it has two built-in Velleman preamplifiers, with output of both amplified and unamplified signals. Production ended in 2001. Christer Hamp, 2001
